By downloading, installing, or using My Six Degrees ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ryan Pelletier ("we", "us", or "our"), the developer of My Six Degrees.
My Six Degrees is a social networking application that visualizes your network of connections using the concept of six degrees of separation. The App displays your connections on a geographic map, showing how you are connected to other users through up to six degrees of separation.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use My Six Degrees. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.
To use My Six Degrees, you must create an account by providing your name, occupation, zip code, and a short bio. You agree to:
My Six Degrees is available as a one-time paid purchase through the Apple App Store. By purchasing the App, you agree to Apple's payment terms. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy.
We reserve the right to change the price of the App at any time. Price changes will not affect purchases already made.
You agree to use My Six Degrees only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:
By submitting information to My Six Degrees (including your name, occupation, and bio), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the App.
You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.
My Six Degrees displays your network based on invite-link connections. By sharing your invite link, you consent to new users being added to your network. You understand that your profile information (name, occupation, and approximate location) will be visible to users within your network.
Your use of My Six Degrees is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.
My Six Degrees and all of its content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the software, design, graphics, and text — are owned by Ryan Pelletier and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our express written permission.
My Six Degrees is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of any network data, connection counts, or degree calculations displayed in the App.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ryan Pelletier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of My Six Degrees, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to My Six Degrees at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at rdp4709@gmail.com.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Michigan.
My Six Degrees is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Terms of Service. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
